Breaking Brandon DAY 2 Chapters 7-11

breaking-day2

What happened in chapters 7 - chapter 11?:

Regina still doesn’t understand why Brandon hates her, but it hurts that he does. She’s out bar hopping with a friend one night when she sees him out with another girl. They stare each other down until Brandon kisses the girl and leaves with her, which hurts Regina more than it should. She’s been avoiding him on the base at all costs, and one day she’s running down the stairs to make sure she doesn’t have to see him, when she trips and falls down the stairs. Brandon helps her and takes her to the base hospital. After getting her checked out, he insists on taking her home - her ankle is so swollen, she won’t be able to do anything on it for a while. Regina is high on paid medicine and saying things she shouldn’t. She insists he call her Regina, instead of Ms. Brady, and wants to call him Brandon, instead of Sergeant Billings. Brandon is determined to take care of her - his duty would let him do nothing less - and he helps her up the stairs. She kisses him, which is something he’s not used to. The next morning, Brandon shows up to take her to work, but she’s completely immobile, so he takes the day off to stay with her and take care of her. She doesn’t want him to, but he insists. They spend the whole day bonding and talking and getting to know each other.

Favourite Quote:

“Trust me,” he said, standing up. “You don’t wanna get to know me.” “Trust me.” She countered right back, lifting her brow as their eyes met. “I do.”

Discussion Questions:
  • Do you think Brandon's insistence to help Regina out was how he justified it to himself - because he felt duty bound to do so - or because of his attraction to her, or both?

BreakingBrandonAbout BREAKING BRANDON

He ruled out attachments years ago. Then one day he crosses paths with a beautiful but pampered daddy's little princess. History has taught him one thing about women like her—steer clear. She was starting over. She moved back to her home town, took a new job assignment, and left her past behind. For the first time in over eighteen months, she's even intrigued by a man—a sexy but cold and indifferent drill sergeant. Despite feeling drawn to him, she has no time to figure out his inexplicable aversion to her. Then Fate steps in one night, forcing them together. There's a connection neither can refute, and they both consider giving into the undeniable attraction. Fate however can also be cruel. Just when they surrender to their heart's desires, past demons resurface in the most unexpected way, threatening the happiness neither realized they so desperately needed.
