Lucky (Last Riders #7) by Jamie Begely (TOUR)

Life dealt him a dead man’s hand.

Lucky had always led a life of service, always putting his life on the line for someone else, managing to survive by pure luck and skill. After bringing an end to a multi-state drug ring, he was finally able to live the life he had wanted as a Last Rider.

A good man would walk away and not touch the curvy woman who had been tugging on his heartstrings. Lucky wasn’t a good man. Therefore, the bad-ass biker in him had a choice: once again become the man he had pretended to be and stake his claim or take the devil’s highway.

Some girls had all the luck.

Willa wasn’t one of them. All she wanted to do was give a home to the children she had made orphans. Instead, she found herself needing help from the man who had left the pulpit behind to embrace a life of sin.

Painfully shy and withdrawn, she wanted a quiet life, a simple man, and well-behaved children. The last thing she had ever expected was for Lucky to want her size twenty body and show her a passion that would lead her straight to hell.

REVIEW
4 STARS

Jamie Begley is the ideal author for some deep reading. I am a wee bit obsessed with her books especially the Last Riders series. I couldn't wait to get my hands on Lucky's book! =)

Diving in I felt like Lucky came off as a big time douche bag. He was so freaking mean to Willa I wanted to slap him in the face at half the stuff that came out of his mouth towards her. Poor Willa just took it like it was okay and that drove me nuts

If you have read the other books in the Last Riders series you should be well aware of Willa's situation and how kind and patient she is with people. She is almost as sweet as Lily is. Poor Willa she lets people walk all over her including Lucky. I felt so bad for her the first half of this book I shed some tears on her behalf.

Lucky his story is a whole lot different in this book and you get to know him deep down especially after the whole Pastor Dean thing. I grew to like him but not love him. I guess I wanted him to be a little sweeter than he was the whole book he was rugged and I just didn't like it. Maybe it was, because of his character in the other books.

My favorite part of the whole book was when Rider tries to get with Willa it is so cute. He is something else and I can't wait to read his book.

My WTF moment was with Bliss I aint going to lie I had a big smile because I was not a fan of hers at all and am glad she is no longer around. Lets see if Jamie gives her a book or at least a novella tho I want to see where she ends up.

What I didn't like and why I gave 4 stars was I didn't feel the passion between Willa and Lucky the way I have felt with the other Last Rider Couples. I wasn't grabbed into there love story like I thought I should have been. Other than that it was a pretty good book.

INTERVIEW WITH JAMIE

Tasty Book Tours Chats with Jamie Begley

Tasty Book Tours: Jamie, it has been a very busy year for you!  SHADE, RIOT and Now LUCKY'S CHOICE all coming out in a manner of months.  What are your release plans for the rest of the year?

Jamie Begley: I’m hoping to release a new series with the Porter’s, Train’s book, and hopefully a novella.

Tasty: For those fans that aren't aware, SHADE is now available (along with the first five Last Rider Romances) in Audio.  Do you have plans to release any of your other titles?

Jamie: All my remaining books have been purchased by Audible, I have no idea of the release dates.

Tasty: What was your favorite scene to write for LUCKY'S CHOICE (I know which scene is my favorite!)?

Jamie: I have to admit the pirate scene. I laughed for two days afterward, I could imagine just how embarrassed Willa was to confess her fantasy to Lucky.

Tasty: Are there ever moments that you even shock yourself after you have finished a scene? (Say the book takes a turn you weren't expecting?)

Jamie: All the time, I don’t plan books out beforehand and as I start writing they come together. I think the biker bitches at the gas station, and Knox talking to Sunshine are my two favorites.

"I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.
Taking after my mother, I've always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.
For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.
Currently I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC, Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls.
All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”
