Craving Resurrection by Nicole Jacquelyn REVIEW & INTERVIEW

23447383

Synopsis
Poet and Amy’s story…
Patrick Gallagher’s future was mapped out—and it didn’t include Amy Henderson or the IRA.
She was everything he’d never wanted. Too young. Too naïve.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t help but be fascinated by the girl who took refuge in his old bedroom, staying with his mum more often than not.
She looked like a Renaissance painting and argued like a solicitor. He couldn’t resist her, and before long, he didn’t even want to.
Instead, he loved her unreservedly… then he married her.
But he couldn’t have prepared for what happened after.
Actions, no matter how large or how small, have consequences—and when the IRA comes knocking, he’s sucked into a life that he’d never anticipated.
Choices were made.
Hearts were broken.
Trust was shattered.
Lives were lost.
Through it all, he loved her.
It was a love that spanned decades.
Epic.
Intense.
Unquestionable.
Unbreakable.

Craving Resurrection

REVIEW
OKAY I'm like say freaking late posting my review, but in all honesty I had to read and than re-read this story it actually affected me that much.

After reading it I didn't think I could give it a review that gave it what it would deserve so I gave myself a few weeks and when I had some me time no interruptions I read again and OMG was I a blubbering crying mess when my husband got home and thought I was having a damn break down on our bedroom floor. LOL it was kinda funny, so I had to explain what this book had done to me. Pretty much tore my heart out and stomped on it and than smashed it with a tractor and than handed it back to be all bandaged!! DAMN NICOLE!!

Poet was nothing like I imagined, he has been around of course since Craving Constellation and I have always figured he had a dark past, but holy crap I had no idea it was going to be so tortured and painful and my goodness!! I just adored the man he is freaking amaze balls and I think he had to do things for certain reasons especially things he really didnt want to do but had to. I know I am sounded all mixed up, but I don't want to ruin it.

You really have to read the book its like emotion just being thrown at you off the damn page. Nicole seriously wrote a book that will touch you like never before and pretty much get down to your core near touching your soul.

Than there is dam Amy gosh damn she is one lucky bitch for getting to be with a man like poet. GAH I want a taste of an irish hottie after reading this damn book. Just the way he looked at Amy made me melt and go all goo goo eyed. I wanted to slap her in the damn face at times and than there were times where I just loved her. Like I said by the end of the book I was a hot mess. The first time and than the second time I was a hot mess x's a million!

I was lucky enough to interview Nicole and her it is she is fucking fabulous I wanna be her bestie!! Hope you love her work and her as much as I do!! =)

INTERVIEW

Please tell us a little about yourself.
I like to drink Jägermeister mixed with Redbull and take long walks on the beach…
Okay, serious answer now: I’m the mom of two little girls, I have three dogs (two of them are 3 month old puppies), I’m a night owl and I rarely go to bed before 3am, I love to read and fangirl over my favorite authors, I rarely watch television, my sister is my best friend, I still live next door to my parents and they live in the house I grew up in, and I’ve started wearing running shorts—not because I run, but because I feel like I can go commando without shame because they have built in underwear (Too much information? You asked for it!). I’m just a mom who is usually juggling way too many things and tries to find time after the kids go to bed, when it’s quiet and dark, to write. Nothing exciting really… unless you give me that Jäger and Redbull—then I’m crazytown.

What/Who influnced you to start writing?

I’ve always been a writer, but it wasn’t until some incredible indie writers started becoming popular that I realized I could actually publish my stories without trying over and over to catch a big publisher’s attention. I had a story in my head that wouldn’t leave me alone so I finally just sat down and started writing. I had no idea that so many people would end up reading it.

Was Craving Absolution a diffrent writing experience than Craving Constellations adn Craving Redemption?

Absolutely. Each experience is different because different things were happening in my life while I was writing them. Craving Absolution was the first book I wrote after graduating from college. It was crazy to be able to write as soon as I had a quiet moment, instead of putting it off to work on school assignments first. It was also different because I knew that readers were waiting on Casper’s story, so there was a little more pressure! I hope they love Casper and Farrah the way I do.

What word best describes your books?
That’s a hard question! Nice work!
One word? Real.

While writing about the Ace's MC do you feel as if you are apart of the club?
I don’t know if I feel a part of the club… more like I’m watching from the sidelines, but I know their every emotion, their every thought—and I’m just writing it down for them.

Who is your favorite out of the Aces MC?

Gram—though she’s not literally an Ace. She’s very similar to my real Gram that I lost a few years ago… and she was my favorite person in real life.
It’s actually a really hard question to answer… it’s like picking a favorite child!

You have mentioned the Aces series is a Trilogy have you decided to move on or will be seeing more of the Aces crew?

Well, a new series will be happening next. But I don’t know that I’ll ever be completely finished with the Aces. I love them too much. Poet’s story has been in my head for months, and there is another couple who have already made themselves known—if you’ve read Craving Absolution, you know exactly who I’m talking about. There is a whole new generation of Aces that need their happily ever after. I’m just not writing them…yet.

What are you working on now and when can we expect next from you?
I’m in the early stages of a new series about a group of foster kids from two different foster homes. Good homes. Solid ones. They all take off as they turn 18, but years later start trickling back into their hometown with their own stories. Right now, I’m just working out how all of the characters are connected, their personality quirks, physical descriptions, and back stories. The first story is already waiting to be written, and I’ll start the first book in the series as soon as Craving Absolution has published. It just doesn’t feel right to start writing a new story before Casper and Farrah are out in the world… they still have my full attention for a little while longer.
