Yet again Abbi hits us with an outstanding piece of work!
I have been following the Sea Breeze series since the very begging of time. LOL. I kinda sorta have a little obsession with the series and may or may have not read the books over a 100 times. Don't judge ok! I just can's get enough of it!
When I seen Abbi post on her site that this was going to be the last book in the series I damn near had a breakdown. I was like NOOOO! out loud my husband ran in the bedroom and was like "Babe what's wrong?" I said " My heart is broken this is so awful my favorite series is ending! How can it end." He in returned laughed and said " Its just books you'll live thru the end." Was he more than wrong!!
This morning first thing I did was check my iBooks and there the beautiful book was, so I cracked it open and before I even starting reading I was an emotional wreck. So thru out the morning while getting my kiddo ready and taking him to school I was reading (not while driving)Hahaha. I finished in record time and the end about near killed me. Abbi yes I was in my kitchen on the table and I didn't move for about 20 minutes I seriously was so freaking out of it about the end, so freaking sad that it was the end. I didn't know how to react at all! I was stuck between happiness and devastation!
Right now hours later I am so pleased with how it ended, but still stuck in a emotional rut seriously Abbi seriously. LOL .
I have to say Trish and Rock was so perfect to end this series. They are sorta the core of the group, and their story was so beautifully written. It completed in full circle for me. I always wondered why that couple loved each other so much and now I know why! Beautiful in every single way!
The ending for all the others was bitter sweet!
My favorite was how in Kirt and Blyth's epilogue Abbi included Green. Green sorta got his story I do wish it was more in depth, but I was so happy she included him, because he does play a huge roll in the series. I think out of the whole book Kirt and Blyth was my favorite, honestly because Bad For You is my #1 pick in the series! It completed me really I cried like a baby!
Until The End is a diffident re read, but I think it will have to wait awhile before I fully recuperate from the first go about. I am bound to have my heart broken over and over every time I read it!
If you guys didn't hear Cage York is coming to a big screen, I could not have been more over the moon, when I heard the news! I cant wait to see how a Sea Breeze book plays out into a movie!
Abbi please darling don't ever stop writing, you are just fabulous and know how to brighten my day! I will never stop being a Jacktown fan and Sea Breeze will forever live on!!
Excerpt 1-Rock, The Present
The first time I’d seen her, she had taken my breath away. Getting her attention had been one hell of a ride. She’d been so determined to stay away from me. Or any man.
Then I’d found out why… and I’d sworn to myself she’d never have to live in fear again.
Falling in love with Trisha had changed my life. My friends and family had said I was an idiot. I was throwing away my future. Butch Taylor, my father, had never been a big part of my life until I had become a high school football star. For once I had a parent who gave a shit about me. It had been something I’d craved since I was a kid. Making him proud and proving I was worth loving had been what drove me harder. My dream was within my reach. I had my father cheering me on and I would make it to college and then I knew I’d play pro ball.
Until my dream changed. The day a pair of the prettiest blue eyes I’d ever seen stared at me across the parking lot one morning before school started. It had been the first day of my sophomore year and it would be another twelve months before I was able to get Trisha Corbin to even speak to me.
